As I remember when I was a student, learning seemed to be directed and there were not many opportunities to support the way I learned. I was very shy and needed processing time to share my answers and responses. It seemed my voice was not heard as there was a time limit to respond. Knowing that I have time to share my thinking and understanding in a safe online space has created less anxiety and stress in the way I learn. I can continue to learn, revisit lessons, ideas and discussions anytime. I can share my professional voice to multiple people. Online learning does provide a comfortable learning platform to support my learning style.
